I have yet to try blue bird actually but shall do in my next runs. I found that Penguin seems to be quite good for generating more artefacts because of the character cloning ability. He doesn't come paired with any negative, intrinsic trait, and his starting passives allows him to endure more damage than any other character. Originally posted by Death Grips:I would have to say that the Blue Bird is my personal favorite and one of the best birds in the game, objectively speaking. At this point, playing anything besides Blue Bird or Chicken just seems to put the player at a disadvantage from the beginning, and that experience is suppose to be tied to the Egg. Perhaps I need to devote some more time to playing the other characters, but this seems to be a trend for most of them. If he had some sort of increased melee damage to start with, then his character would not only maintain his unique status, but possess greater utility amongst the roster too. He's a melee oriented character, which is a questionable playstyle in its own, but his negative passive of a -40% range further restricts him from stepping out of this archetype. For example, I love the design of "Duck," but his starting weapon and passive ability are horrible. All of the different birds look cool and play differently, but most of them seem to be significantly outclassed by one or two others. In all honesty, I'm kind of at odds with the balancing of this game's character roster. I would have to say that the Blue Bird is my personal favorite and one of the best birds in the game, objectively speaking.
